The Salvation Army in Ottawa recently held its appreciation lunch under the theme “Christmas in July,” to thank sponsors and partners of the CTV Ottawa Toy Mountain and Christmas Kettle campaigns.
The Salvation Army’s Marc Provost, Major Danny Pinksen and Marc Hoey welcomed more than 100 guests to the July 18 event held to thank the sponsors and celebrate the considerable success of the 2018 Toy Mountain Campaign.
Major Pinksen thanked the guests for their commitment and support to the annual Toy Mountain Christmas event, which he said distributed 25,000 bags of gifts to Ottawa-area children last Christmas.
Mr. Provost is the executive director of the Salvation Army’s Ottawa Booth Centre. Maj. Pinksen is the Booth Centre’s new director of Community Services. Marc Hoey, who manages the Toy Mountain campaign, is the Army’s coordinator of service enhancement.
