The mood was festive at the OBC's annual Christmas community dinner on December 16, 2019 where about 600 guests and clients feasted on a traditional turkey dinner.

The meals were served by a cast of enthusiastic volunteers, including 12 teachers from the Lester B. Pearson High School, and another 10 from the All Saints Catholic School.

Chaplain Louis, the OBC's food services coordinator, served his 21st Salvation Army Christmas dinner since he started working for the organization in 1998. Volunteers dished out generous servings of turkey (from 45 turkeys), cranberries, mashed potatoes, mixed vegetables, topped off by a dessert of cheese cake.

Mr. Provost thanked Mr. Taylor and his wife Christine (not pictured), and Mr. Bockington, for their longstanding suppport and for joining us in helping to ensure every guest felt special and welcome at the organization's annual dinner.

Our own Lori and Darren lent their harmonic voices to the warm atmosphere
of the Booth Centre's chapel. About 12 clients sang along.

About one dozen OBC clients sang along with Lori and Darren, to tunes such as Jingle Bells,  Joy to the World, Away in a Manger, Hark the Herald Angels Sing and My Soul Magnifies the Lord.
